If you eat as many Fig Bars as we do, then you'd understand just how many wrappers are left behind. Instead of throwing them away we have decided to come up with new ways to incorporate them into fun and creative DIY projects to use all year long. This month, being the month of "love", we came up with a decorative way of using our Strawberry and Raspberry wrappers and forming them into... a heart wreath! Much like our holiday wreath, there are a lot of different ways to do this, but read on to see how we came up with ours!
-Fig Bar Wrappers
(Strawberry or Raspberry)
-Hot Glue Gun
-Valentines Day foam stickers
(The more glittery, the better)
(We got a cardboard one for $2 at Michaels)
Step 1: Take one Fig Bar wrapper and fold it in half. Cut half a heart out from across the seam. Size can vary. In fact we encourage this. The different sizes and shapes really will add character to your design. Continue to do this process for each of the wrappers until you feel you have enough to cover the entire outline of the heart.
Step 2: Hot glue each individual heart you've cut along the outside of the heart frame. Alternating colors and sizes as you see fit.
Step 3: Add the Valentine's Day foam stickers! This part is totally up to you and your preferences. To keep up with our holiday theme, we added pink, red, and white hearts around ours to make it more festive.
Step 4: Attach a ribbon of any color behind the wreath for hanging.
Step 5: Hang anywhere around the house to add an extra Valentine's Day feel!
