This season has been off to a pretty slow start here in Tahoe. Instead of sitting around and waiting for it to snow, I decided to take a trip to Park City, Utah to go visit some great friends. One of my favorite things to do in the off season is fly fishing. Its super relaxing and can teach you a whole lot of patience. This is a shot of me that my friend Brendan took while we were fishing on the lower section of the Provo River.
I have spent a lot of time on the Provo River, especially this summer. This was my fourth trip to Park City this past summer. Great friends, great fishing and fun times, thats why I was there so much. Above is a shot of Brendan fishing, he is super talented and teaches me a ton about life and the river. Brendan is a guide and knows where to catch some little donkeys at. ;)
Along with fishing, I have been spending a ton of my time behind the lens of a camera. I love perfecting a new skill that intrigues me. Photography is such a blast and a great way to express yourself. Although this shot isn't special and was certainly taken with my iPhone, its still semi-artsy.
Here is my other buddy Hogey who I spend a lot of time with in Park City also. He has been a fly fishing guide for over 25 years and certainly knows what's up. Hogey is a legend for sure, great teacher and an artist at his craft. The guide helped my net this little puppy on the last day of my trip.
Heading back to Tahoe now to hopefully shred some snow and get the season going. I feel really blessed to have traveled as much as I did between seasons. I love traveling/adventuring! Next to snowboarding, it's what I want to be doing most! =) Soon I will be posting some pictures of my friends and I riding, hopefully in some REALLY DEEP SNOW! =) Until then, stay healthy, get outside and don't forget to bring your Fig Bars =)
