I spend a lot of time on the road in the winter. That means I end up missing a lot of key events in Tahoe. The past few springs I had still been over in Europe so this season I was committed to making my way back to Tahoe in the spring. The first and most important reason being the Pain Mcshlonkey! It was a weekend of fun at Squaw Valley with great friends and memories in honor of the late great Shane McConkey. There were costume galas, little mountain contests, Chinese downhill on snow blades, costume contests and fundraisers all in honor of Shane McConkey. It was an amazing weekend!
Check out the trailer for the event below!
After the Pain McShlonkey, it was time for another great Squaw Valley event! The Cushing Crossing, a pond skimming/costume contest. This year I had the honor of being asked to judge the event. I had the best seat in the house!
Last but not the least was the annual Trains event put on by the High Fives Foundation. It was a team slopestyle contest that took place at Alpine Meadows. It was great to get out there and see the amazing show all the athletes put on!
