I traveled back to Scandinavia about a week ago. They had been having one of the warmest summers on record while I was gone. The day I arrived that had changed. You can definitely feel the crisp fall air moving in. With a few clear days in the forecast my friends and I decided it was a good time for a little mini getaway.
We traveled maybe a half hour by car, then by boat to my friends cabin. Fishing was the goal, and of course enjoying the outdoors.
There's something so soothing and relaxing about watching the sunset while out on the lake. We were out there to catch some fish. The group however was not too confident in our ability to hook food, so we brought sausages just in case. After a few hours cruising the lake, and failing at land some fish we were all rewarded with a breathtaking sunset.
Life was good at the cabin. Blueberries lining the path up from the lake. I often think to myself how I'd enjoy living this lifestyle for a period of time in the future. I love getting away from it all and experiencing life with just the essentials. My hunting and gathering skills might need some improvement before doing so.
I haven't been in sunny California for a while now am I am definitely missing Tahoe. The weather is hard to beat, especially if you compare it to the weather in Sweden. However, I am learning to love how much I appreciate the sun in Sweden. It may not always be out, but when it is the views are amazing!
