La Grave is a tiny village in France that I've been wanting to visit for years. Mainly it's the skiing that attracts me to that location, but the small time charm is what seals the deal for me. After being in Chamonix for a week it was great to move on to a new location in between stops.
Last season, I made it to La Grave and unfortunately came down with a nasty cold which resulted in no skiing. This time around I finally made it up on the mountain! They could use some snow, well actually I think they are getting a ton now that I am gone.
La Grave is the kind of place where anything goes, if you know what you are doing. It's not the kind of place where you blindly follow tracks. That could leave you on top of something you couldn't jump, even if you were into sending big cliffs. Between glaciers and massive cliffs La Grave is a true ski mountaineers paradise. I'm looking forward to heading back there to progress my skiing knowledge in different areas of my sport.
