The other day I made the trip from Bethel, Maine to Burke, VT. I grew up in the North East, but never made my way to this little town. I was pleasantly surprised by the great mountain biking trails the area had to offer. The local residents and business leaders in the area have done something amazing! They have received major support from the National Park Service; the Vermont Community Foundation; the Vermont Department of Forest, Parks and Recreation; the Connecticut River Valley Partnership Program, The Windham Foundation, KTA members and volunteers to make this great trail system possible. Along with the permission of over 50 local landowners and businesses Kingdom Trails Association has created a charitable non-profit conservation organization that other areas should look to recreate in their region.
Amazing views along with fast and flowing single track, this area has a ton to offer. I really like that it has something for everyone. This is a place for all abilities. I had too much fun riding to stop for many action shots but I did get a few of the views.
If you find yourself in the North East anytime soon I highly recommend you make your way over to Kingdom Trails! I have a great day and I can't wait to get back there again.
