Rachel Long

Over the past two years Rachel has fallen more and more in love with trail running and the adventures that it brings her.  Growing up in Vermont, Rachel took advantage of being constantly surrounded by mountains, when she moved to New York City to pursue a teaching position she instantly yearned for the mountains.  Trail running and skiing in the winter have been her way of adventure and release from the city.  Rachel’s feet have taken her to races of all distances (ranging from marathon-100 miles) in many different states, it is pretty amazing the places we can see and feelings we can experience through running and outdoor adventuring.  Rachel’s lust for adventure and endless trail running are leading her back to her roots (where her running and skiing mostly began) in Vermont to train for her biggest race yet: Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc.  Rachel’s looking forward to training, racing, and adventuring in Europe this summer and taking Fig Bars (SUCH GOOD FUEL FOR LONG RUNS) along for the ride.
